Behavior Interventionist
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferable)
- Have Live Scan and TB clearance
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification (child and adult) within 90 days of hire
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Reliable and consistent means of transportation
- Able to sit on the ground, small chairs, bend and move at the waist, lift and manipulate small objects
- Successful completion of competency training and skills evaluation
- Knowledge of basic computer operations (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
- Ability to work part-time or full-time
- Provide services to San Gabriel, Temple City, Monterey Park, Lincoln Heights, East LA, Montebello,
Commerce, Pico Rivera, Whittier, and Eagle Rock - Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 behavior instruction to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Provide parent training on behavior principles and intervention strategies
- Complete accurate data collection
- Collect and summarize data on target behaviors
- Implement treatment plan
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with team members and family
- Assist with program development, when needed
- Model behavior interventions, as necessary
- Participate in mandatory team meetings
- Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers and colleagues
