Behavior Interventionist
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferable)
Have Live Scan and TB clearance
Current CPR/First Aid Certification (child and adult) within 90 days of hire
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
Reliable and consistent means of transportation
Able to sit on the ground, small chairs, bend and move at the waist, lift and manipulate small objects
Successful completion of competency training and skills evaluation
Knowledge of basic computer operations (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
Ability to work part-time or full-time
Provide services to San Gabriel, Temple City, Monterey Park, Lincoln Heights, East LA, Montebello,
Commerce, Pico Rivera, Whittier, and Eagle Rock
Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
Bilingual preferred
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 behavior instruction to individuals with developmental disabilities
Provide parent training on behavior principles and intervention strategies
Complete accurate data collection
Collect and summarize data on target behaviors
Implement treatment plan
Maintain a positive and professional relationship with team members and family
Assist with program development, when needed
Model behavior interventions, as necessary
Participate in mandatory team meetings
Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers and colleagues
